Open Bidding
About IFC Open Bidding
IFC Open Bidding takes shape in the form of fraternities extending membership invitations outside the formal recruitment process. The Interfraternity Council offers multiple opportunities for students and potential new members to participate in Open Bidding, with a two-week period of Open Bidding beginning the day after Formal Recruitment Bid Day for two weeks and then again during the second semester through our Spring Open Bidding Process. Time frames are subject to change based on academic calendar and formal recruitment dates. Please note that chapter participation in Open Bidding is at the complete discretion of each chapter, and not all chapters will choose to select new members outside of the Formal Recruitment Process.
All Potential New Members must complete a registration form to participate in Open Bidding, whether it be in the Fall or Spring.
The Spring 2025 Open Bidding registration form will open on the first day of class, spring semester 2025, and can be found HERE. Please send an email to ifcrecruitment@olemiss.edu if you have questions about Open Bidding eligibility. This will allow IFC to determine whether or not a PNM meets the requirements outlined below. Additionally, IFC will supply eligible PNM’s information to chapters. The chapters electing to participate in the spring ’25 open bidding process are Beta Theta Pi, Chi Psi, Delta Kappa Epsilon, Delta Tau Delta, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Phi.
Spring Open Bidding will take place January 21st, 2025 through February 17th, 2025.
